Inspiron 7348 2-in-1, 5 years old, terrible quality

Bought an Inspiron 7348 2-in-1 on March 16, 2015. The touch screen failed after 3 years. Plastic material at bottom of the screen crack and became sticky/oily. Keyboard edge material became melted or curly - looks like melted plastics. All these happened since 2019 and getting worse. Pictures attached. Have been using Dell laptop/Desktop for many years and never seen this problem. This is my 4th Dell product and will be my last Dell product.

Most PC vendors consider 3 years life span of a laptop.  Many last longer, but if you get 3 years of service they consider that good.  How its been handled what its been subject to, etc contribute to lifespan, plastic part survival.

I've seen 1 year old laptops that look like they are 10 years old, and I've seen 10 year old laptops that external appearance is almost new.  This from many PC brands.

Looks like it has been left out in the sun or using chemicals to clean???
