Inspiron 7559 Replace HDD with SSD

I am planning on retiring my current HDD and doing a clean install of Windows 10 OS on a new SSD. I am not interested in keeping my HDD and upgrading to a M.2 Sata SSD, I'd much rather replace the HDD in its entirety. I understand that I will need to download and utilize the Media Creation Tool and an external flash drive to do this.

My question is, will any standard SSD fit in place of my HDD in the Dell Inspiron 7559? I plan to install a Samsung - 860 EVO 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive. Will it mount in the same as my HDD and are there any issues I might come across?

If your current HDD is of 2.5'' SATA 3 type interface, then any SSD of 2.5'' SATA 3 interface can be used to replace your HDD.

I replaced by HDD of 1TB with 2.5'' SATA 3 SSD of 512GB Kingston A400. And then installed Windows 10 using USB media creation tool. Windows 10 will get activated automatically!
