Inspiron 7559 freezes and cannot turn off

So this has always been an issue with my dell and I’ve never had the time to find the problems source. I’ve contacted dell support before but they couldn’t find the problem either so I’m taking it to the forums. Furthermore a brief search in the forums has showed me dell has yet to address this issue for this model of laptop. I’ve found 2 posts on exactly the same topic and problem. One of them never got addressed here:https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General/Dell-Inspiron-i7559-freezes/td-p/5025798/page/2.

What problem one may ask? my computer sometimes freezes randomly. This has been the longest amount of time since it has not frozen. Usually the period is every 3 months. in this freeze, the keyboard stops working followed by the mouse and then I cannot shut it down with the power button. To fix it, I have to let the battery drain out.

I’ve run hardware diagnostics on the computer befor and nothing showed up. I’m fine with my machine but this can be quite annoying when it happens.

OS=Windows 10. No other modifications. My computer has automatic updates so Drivers and BIOS should be current.

Re: Inspiron 7559 freezes and cannot turn off

Hi Vren55,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

Have you run a systems diagnostics on your system yet?  Please run the systems diagnostics by pressing F12, or by running Dell Support Assist.  Make a note of any error messages and post back.

One user reported a solution here that might be helpful.

Re: Inspiron 7559 freezes and cannot turn off

Thanks Robert, no errors on basic test and no errors on extended test. (would you like screenshots?) So yeah, not sure what's wrong and unsure of why this issue still hasn't really been addressed in the PC's build.

That being said, thanks for the link. That user seemed to have a similar problem, though, mine doesn't seem to be memory related as the Systems tests indicate nothing. The next time this happens I'll remove the battery, though, I'll probably wait until my warranty is voided to do so as I'm afraid removing the battery will void the warranty. Is that the case?

Removing the battery does not void the warranty.  Since you still are under warranty, you may wish to troubleshoot with Dell Tech Support.

You can contact Tech Support at 1-800-624-9896  or 1-800-288-4410, or you can initiate a chat session http://dell.to/2v4snVm

Re: Inspiron 7559 freezes and cannot turn off

Today, I was playing PUBG in my laptop. Suddenly, I was unable to move in the game except for mouse. I got a kill with help of mouse. After few seconds mouse didnt respond but, I was able to hear the game chat only. After few seconds laptop freezed. I tried force shutdown but, it didnot work. I was confuse, even force shutdown didnot work. I couldnt remove inbuilt battery. I waited until battery drained.
