* After installing BIOS 1.10.0, did you reinstall the 3.3.0 Dell Power Manager Service?
I updated the BIOS to 1.10.0 last week. Since then I have had several freezes and one that the cycling of power cord did not fix and required a 10 sec power off and cold boot to fix. That is after more than a month of no freezes. I just had a BSOD with the error message of DPC Watchdog error.
PMS 3.3.0 already installed. I ran SuppotAssistant deep scan and found nothing but it recommended that I install : - Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console - A00 - 54.28 MB - Recommended - Installed - Intel Management Engine Interface Driver - A04 - 91.17 MB - Recommended - Installed Which I did. Ran it this morning fine. Hibernated it and went out for a few hours. When I came Hit the power button and when th lock screen came up hit return and it froze for about a minute the got the BDOD again. G3 3779|Service Tag: <Service tag removed>
I removed SupportAssistant as you suggested and updated the Intel SATA SSD chipset set controller. Since this is a random nonoccurence, I have waited a few days. So far, no recurrences. I did reinstall SupportAssistant version 3.2.2.,119 vice 3.3.0.
You have proven that the issues are not hardware. My advice, just uninstall SA. If you want to run the Dell Diagnostics, do it pre-Windows. Periodically check this page to see if a new version of SA after 3.3.0 appears. Then you could install it and test, or not.
