Installation forbidden by system policy

HI:

Installation forbidden by system policy with Intel-AX200-AX201-9260-9560-9462-WiFi-UWD-Driver_525GF_WIN_21.20.1.1_A13_04

I try to update my laptop Inspiron 15 7000 with this software, but I can't do because all the time I get this message: Installation forbidden by system policy. Please contact your administrator. Is there any chance some one to help me.
Thanks
Jesus

Files like this must be installed via DOMAIN Administrator.

You are a user on that network not an Administrator so only they can help you.

@Beachmagic I had the same problem with my Wi-Fi driver. I restored the laptop to factory conditions, re-installed Windows, and connected to the Internet using a LAN connection. Then, I went to Dell website and updated the BIOS driver using my computer service tag. Then, I opened Device Manager, right clicked on Wi-Fi driver, and updated the driver. This resolved the issue. Make sure your computer is identified by Dell correctly when updating the drivers. I am not sure if the restoration and re installation were required, but I am sure that updating the BIOS driver and then Wi-Fi driver were required.

I upgraded my XPS 9530's wifi card to an AX200, and kept getting "forbidden" from dells drivers, and 'unable to install' from intels.  What worked for me was open device manager, click 'show hidden devices' and uninstall/remove the old wifi adapter and software.

After reboot intel's driver software installed right away, and I was off to the races!  GL!

Where are you getting the Driver and what Wi-Fi device do you have?

The AX200 is the new Intel Wi-Fi 6 card.  What are you doing to get that message.  The AX201 is the special card which uses CNVIo and runs on specific systems.

I have a Killer Wireless 1650 AX which is the same as an Intel AX200 and it installs fine.

My suggestion right now is to uninstall the previous driver by uninstalling the device and checking the box to uninstall the drivers, then install the drivers for the new card.  You may need to look at the hidden devices in the Device Manager to do thatl

Does anyone know how to fix this?

January 13th, 2020 17:00

Thank you for your response, I hope it will help others. I had someone reset the wifi card and it didn't help so Dell sent me a new one. Once the new card was installed I was back in business

Hello,

My wifi card from Inspiron 17 7746 under Windows 10 Home 64Bits, Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 has been replaced with an Intel Wireless-AC 9260 160 MHz card which is working at maximum 60Mbps even in 5GHz ac mode and is stuck in 20MHz bandwidth because of the driver, (WIFI Analyzer report "Bandwidth not detectable because of missing API (driver issue)" )

In driver Events there is a specific issue:

Device not migrated:

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2526&SUBSYS_00108086&REV_29\4&3842eab&0&00E2 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

Status: 0xC0000719

Bios has last update, uninstaled driver completly, optimized wifi parameters for the network adapter,  same problem.

I have tried to install the following drivers from Dell but with the same error:

Installation forbidden by system policy

- Intel-AX200-AX201-9260-9560-9462-WiFi-UWD-Driver_525GF_WIN_21.20.1.1_A13_04

- Intel-9260-9560-8265-7265-3165-WiFi-Driver_M8N8N_WIN_20.70.0.8912_A15

- Network_Driver_1FG2H_WN32_20.50.0.8334_A14_02

The drivers are not compatible with my operating system.

Could you help me with an driver compatible with my OS?

I'm having the same issue. What is the solution?

Hello.

After several years of using an Inspiron 5580 laptop and also several yeas of keeping it closed I tried yesterday to open it only to discover that the WiFi tiles - you can see my experience in the last picture displayed in my posting - are no longer available in the lower right-hand side of my laptop and any attempt to install an update for the WiFi card  - Intel 9560/9260/8265/7265/3165 Wi-Fi Driver v22.130.0.5 (A30) - fails with error

I tried to apply the steps described HERE
but nothing helped.
I also noticed that Windows installed a bunch of updates for OS and a few programs - I uninstalled them all but nothing helped.
In Device Managed I noticed that no WiFi adapter is displayed and after displaying hidden devices some adapter was displayed as hidden device. I made the mistake to uninstall it hoping the strategy that worked so many times: uninstall and computer restart - will do the trick but not this time...after restarting the laptop scanning for hardware changes didn't find any WiFi card as if it was physically removed from the laptop... and I'm sure that's not the case.
The whole thing is absurd and I wasted 5-6 hours of my time trying to fix this but so far nothing worked.
OS is Windows 10 Pro 64bit, version 1909, build 18363.1556 and despite the fact I was able to install the recommended BIOS update and some other Dell packages the WiFi one remains forbidden for me and I can only use Bluetooth
...
Please help, thank you.
