Intermittent WIFI connection inspiron 7000 15

Got a new inspiron 7000 2-in-1 15in. Frustrated with the WIFI intermittently dropping out at a spot with -50dB signal strength. Works ok if I get really close to the router (-30dB). Updated driver, cranked the power to max on the wifi. BIOS up to date.

Dell please help ! This is not acceptable !!!

Thank you for your message. I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Does this happen only on one network or every network?

Open device manager – expand network adapter – right click on the wireless driver & click on uninstall (do not check the box that says delete driver) restart the computer & try the connection.

If you have Smartbyte application installed, please disable or uninstall the application & check if the issue persists.

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Dell-Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

How to find the service tag
