Mistaken BiOS UPDATE for Inspiron 5575 version 1.9.0

Good day everyone,

I recently want to update my BIOS for Inspiron 5575, however when i found the latest BIOS in the driver section. The name for the latest BIOS update is Dell Inspiron 3585 and 3785 System BIOS. I think the system mistaken place the BIOS for 5575 with inspiron 3585. Is it true? If that true I think it should be replaced with the right ones.

Thanks

Sidik

That may have been labeled incorrectly as the latest 3585 BIOS is 1.70 not 1.90. And if you look at the compatible systems for the 1.90 BIOS it lists the 5575. I would not download 1.90 until tech support can look into the possible error.

I downloaded it and tried installing the BIOS for Inspiron 5575; the installer recognized it as BIOS for Dell Inspiron 3585 and 3785, not Inspiron 5575, and won't install. I am waiting for tech support t fix the problem. I attached the captured image of the BIOS installer. Screenshot 2022-08-17 122659.png

Even the dell update utility shows the bios for 3585 and 3785 as an update for 5575
