Model 5767 Can only boot SSD from F12
Hi,
Inspiron 5767 had a 2tb HDD. I need to replace with a SSD from my old laptop because it has all my work software etc. I thought just swap over as I have done before and it would work after driver updates etc.
I just can not get it to boot up normally, only by selecting the SSD in F12. I have read a fair bit but have not found any solution.
Can anyone help please, my old laptop is dying and I need this SSD in my 5767.

I repaired the MBR and all is working now.

You can't just take a SSD from another laptop and put it in and expect it to work.

Hi.
I am able to swap between 2 ssds on my old laptop with no issues.
Do you know how I get 1 working on my Dell?
