My integrated web camera no longer works.

Just to make clear, I have already used Dell Support Assist several times. All drivers and downloads have been updated, and there are no issues when I scanned the hardware. There were no issues with any other section within the DSA. Camera access for the device is turned on. I have already tried uninstalling the camera through the Device Manager. There is nothing on the device manager such as icons to suggest that the camera isn't working properly. Even so, I have fully updated the integrated webcam driver.

The laptop states error no camera attached, or capture failed event. 

 

I've tried everything that the Dell Facebook messenger has told me to do, and I've updated everything possible. Dell is saying that its not a hardware issue but I don't understand what else it could be at this point.

 

Any help would be very much appreciated. Not being able to use your web cam while quarantined sucks.

Join the rest of the other folks with webcam problems.

Dell suggests using Skype and seeing if that will get the webcam working.
