Will my gaming laptop be able to use a 144 hz monitor?
I am thinking about getting a 144hz refresh rate monitor to run as my main display for gaming on my Dell G7 7790 with an Intel core 17-9750H processor 64-bit system, 16 GB of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 gaming laptop for gaming. I wanted to know if my laptop has the potential to run 144fps to take advantage of the 144hz refresh rate because the built-in screen is only 60hz. Can anyone help me with my situation? thank you! Also, I know now that you can buy an installable 144hz screen for the G7 but I was thinking of having a dual monitor setup with my laptop as my secondary screen and a new monitor as my main kind of like this image.
I mainly want to do this so my laptop is to the side while my external keyboard and mouse are next to a larger display as a monitor and I could also use the laptop as a secondary display. The G7 I have is around 7.2 pounds so I don't know what mount/stand I could get to hold it because it is so heavy. When doing some research I also learned about something called a mux switch and if someone could explain it better I would appreciate that.
Generally what I am asking is
Mainly this: Can my laptop with the specs it has run 144fps for a 144hz refresh rate monitor?
Also this: What kind of laptop mount/stand could I use for my laptop that would support the weight?
Help is greatly appreciated and thank you!

Your laptops GPU produces the fps. Get a program that will display fps while playing. While your 60Hz laptop screen will only show you 60fps, your GPU may produce more, and an fps counter will show you that. So if your fps counter shows constantly over 100fps then a 144Hz monitor is a good idea. If it shows around 70 only then no.
