Would like to know if hardware upgrade is possible

I have an old Dell Inspiron 7520 with 4GB RAM, 1TB SATA harddisk and i5-3210M cpu@2.5GHZ

1. Can I upgrade RAM? If so what is the maximum I can go?

2. Can I upgrade CPU from i5-3210M  to latest version  ?

3. Can I change Hard disk from SATA to SSD.

Please let me know if this is possible. Based on your reply I will go to the near by Dell authorized showroom.

Thanks in advance.

RAM max is 8G total.

You can replace the hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD, yes.

CPU upgrade:  Only to the third generation CPUs, not to the "latest" ones, which are 10th generation and completely incompatible with the system.  The i7-3612QM CPU was shipped in this model and should work, though since the system is years old and all these CPUs long end of life, you'll likely need to browse the Internet auction sites for a used CPU.

Dell won't do the upgrades (and if you price the labor for a CPU/memory/drive upgrade, it'll likely wind up whatever an hour or so in labor costs in your area with a computer shop, so the total price may exceed the value of the system).

If hardware warranty has expired, then parts from dell branded store will be slightly expensive. Try getting the parts from Amazon
