gray screen
I turned on my inspiron and got a gray screen with thin poor coloured lines in red, green and blue. There are lines in horizontal and vertical directions with no images. I Can’t execute any command with the laptop.

What model computer? Attach an external monitor to test if it is the screen or the video card.

Did you do any of those, "Recommended Driver updates," and then the screen went !@#$%^&*()_+?. Did you run the DELL diagnostic test? How old is your laptop?
