Exactly what model. There are several different 5000 series models.
Also what headphone are you using?

Hi matyaacob,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Could you please list which model Insprion 14 5000 you have? Should be a number like 5447, 5471, etc.
Have you run a systems diagnostics yet? If not, please run the Dell SupportAssist and make a note of any error messages encountered and post back.
What devices have you tried to plug into the headphone jack? For example, do the earbuds that came with your cell phone work when plugged into the computer?
Here is information from the Dell knowledge base you may find helpful:

If the system is under warranty, please contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.
If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service call.
Have just bought Inspiron 14 5000 (5402). Headphones giving buzzing noise with no other sound.
As per the Dell post, as its new its best to contact Dell support. Any hardware problem and only Dell support can get it taken care of under warranty. We can't do that on this forum.
However, buzzing sounds with an analog headset (3.5mm plug type) many times is because its not fully plugged in. Could also be hardware problem.
