inspiron 3580 SSD capacity

Hi, The spec sheet for the Inspiron 3580 says it takes up to 256GB SSD. What will happen if I put in a 512GB SSD - will it still work ? Thanks

It may or may not work. Dell only tested the 256GB with the system.
