inspiron 5482 2in1 TPM stops working after switch from Optane to Samsung 970 Pro
i took the backing off and put a Samsung 970 Pro 512GB it works I managed to clone a decrypted drive (had to decrypt, ran into BitLocker asking me for a code every time I would boot Windows) now I cannot turn it(drive encryption) back on in the cloned OS.. the cloned os says I have no TPM (had it before) how do I fix?

Do you have Windows 10 Pro, or Home? Bitlocker is only available in Pro. For some reason, it came activated in my Home version, and I had the same problem after I turned it off.

probably home as now I found after resetting my BIOS i cannot encrypt my drive.
