Power cord is not working on Embedded PC 3000

I called in this morning as the Embedded PC 3000 is still losing power when the replacement power cord is moved or touched. It seems like the power socket has too much play. Is this a known issue? This is the first Dell Embedded PC I’ve used and the first with the threaded power connection nut/ring. When tight as I can by hand its better but I can still move the cord just so or simple rotate the head of the inserted plug and power cuts out and the PC shuts down.
