Data Migration from NS480 to ISILON

Hello Folks,

I need your expertise in migrating data from NS-480 to ISILON system.

I am not sure which data replication to be used to migrate. Please advise.

PrakashCSC,

As mentioned previously the tools used for migration are EMCopy, RoboCopy, or Rsync; however which tools to be used for migration depend on the data type.

SMB(CIFS) Data - EMCopy or Robocopy

     NFS Data - Rsync

Mixed Mode - Would be a combination of the SMB tool used, and Rsync the order would depend on the workload characteristics.

Additionally the Isilon Offer and Enablement team has launched the technology transition program that includes migration software as well as services to ensure a smoother migration to Isilon.  This software based technology enables customers to perform data migrations using a single pane of glass without manually created scripts, and enables scaling of the migration agents to rapidly migrate workloads to Isilon.

Thanks
