Finding out Isilon IB switch info.
Can anyone tell me why these new switches aren't telling me who makes them? For example:
Device[0] => 00066a00e3006baf 00066a00e3006baf (SW, 36) TS-i12k00066a00e3006baf
The older switches do tell you:
Device[0] => 000b8cffff007353 000b8cffff007353 (SW, 24) MT47396 Infiniscale-III Mellanox Technologies
So in this case, the opensm command tells us the older switches' make and manufacturer but the new ones we have (36 port) do not. Any idea without actually LOOKING at the switch (in this case, it's remote) who made it?

TS-i12k indicates it is an Intel/Qlogic 12000 series.

Thanks Phil. How are you able to discern that information? I tried looking up what information was provided but could not find the link.

opensm* is what I ran but this cluster is not physically located so I cannot go look at it. I think I need to add a feature enhancement request to make sure we can tell what make/model the switch is remotely.

Since it's a managed switch, you can access the switch remotely to give the serial number:

Someone mentioned it to me and I checked it out running opensm*.topo and physically checking.
