Isilon 8 snmp network interface speed not even close

Hi all,

We have code that uses snmp network interface data to determine and display network interface characteristics. Relative to network interface link speed this used to work fine on Isilon 7, but now with I8, I get numbers that are way too low:

SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.1 = Gauge32: 10000000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.2 = Gauge32: 1410065408
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.3 = Gauge32: 1000000000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.4 = Gauge32: 10000000
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.5 = Gauge32: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.6 = Gauge32: 1410065408
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.2.2.1.5.7 = Gauge32: 1410065408

Am I just mis-interpreting these values? They should be in the 1-40Gbps range - the system has a couple of gige and a couple of 10gige interfaces - these numbers are more like 10Mbps and 1.4Gbps. Should these be scaled somehow for I8?

Thanks in advance,

John
