I can't find anything around that, I can tell you that I have about 4000 smb connections per node with no issues with SMB2. When using SMB1 we ran into "performance problems" (ie "its slow", no real viewable problem) at hundreds of users per node, tho it was a limitation of SMB1 not Isilon..

I was facing an identical Problem. Take a look at docu50238. It mentions max SMB2 Conenctions per node of 11K (10K idle/1K active)
