IsilonSD Edge and VMware HA

Hi all,

In an IsilonSD Edge flex deployment with multiple hosts (3) and VSAN do we support VMware HA for the virtual node restart after an ESX server fault? This can lead to running e.g two instances of Isilon nodes on a single ESX!? Second question – assume a stretched VSAN configuration across two sites – do we support VMware HA for the Isilon VM’s failing over to the second site in case of a site failover. This option may avoid using SyncIQ between two IsilonSD clusters deployed on each of the two sites.

Thanks and Kind Regards

A: Yes. It is okay to have two instances of Isilon nodes running on single ESXi host.

A:  Not sure. But as you said you don't need it if you have SyncIQ between two IsilonSD clusters deployed on each of the two sites.
