MMC use to see sessions and close open files

First, I know I can use the cli for this, but I want to use the MMC for certain tasks and have this issue: When going directly to the storage pool IP, I can see only the open sessions that I have open, no others in the MMC under 'shared folders' , then 'sessions'. If I go directly to other IP's of different nodes, I get a message saying "you do not have permissions to see the list of sessions from windows clients". My account is in the local admins group on the Isilon cluster. We are using One FS version 8.0.0.5. I believe this did work in v7x prior to the update.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: MMC use to see sessions and close open files

Have you done all cluster configuration that's needed for using MMC?

For example you have to create an administrative C$ share on Isilon.

Re: Re: MMC use to see sessions and close open files

I can only find an EMC Technical Demo video. Starting at 2:38 there is something about the MMC.

It's for OneFS 7.1.1 but there is no real change to 8.x.

Re: MMC use to see sessions and close open files

update: This appears to be a bug in the code as this did work with v7.x prior to the upgrade to 8.0.0.5. I have an open ticket with EMC and hopefully they have a workaround. I will update if they can solve. Thanks!
