MiTrend is not generating required reports

Hi All,

I have uploaded the isi_gather_info report (tgz) file (Isilon Log file) to MiTrend profile but getting a failed mail (unable to process).

Getting the below mentioned errors,

• This data was collected using an outdated / unsupported version of the collection script. Download the latest script and collect again.

• This file is either not a valid SQL Server .bak file or is corrupt. A common cause of corruptions are FTP transfers in ASCII mode. Obtain a new file and ensure it is compressed (zip, rar, or 7z) prior to being moved off the SQL Server. Compression at the source helps detect and prevent file corruption

Need your help, please suggest. If the steps for uploading the Log file is wrong, mention the steps please.

Regards

Neesha

You have the wrong dataset Mitrend requires. Are you using the NEW Mitrend website? app.mitrend.com?

Mitrend

EMC Isilon INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE GETTING STARTED
  1. Please verify that the “isi_gather_perf.tgz” file is ~166 KB in size. If the file is 1 KB in size it’s likely a firewall or anti-virus program could have truncated the file. To verify the “isi_gather_perf.tgz” is not corrupted or truncated you can run the following command once the file is on the Isilon cluster.
      # file /ifs/isi_gather_perf.tgz

    Example of a good file:

ClusterName-1# file /ifs/isi_gather_perf.tgz /ifs/isi_gather_perf.tgz: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Tue Nov 18 08:33:49 2014 – file is ready to be executed

    Example of a corrupt file

    ClusterName-1# file /ifs/isi_gather_perf.tgz /ifs/isi_gather_perf.tgz: data – file is corrupt

  2. (One time step) Manually run a Cluster Diagnostics gather. When logged into the OneFS web interface navigate to Cluster Management > Diagnostics > Gather Info Hit the “Start Gather” button and allow the process enough time to finish. Depending on cluster size, the average time to complete is about 15 minutes. This process will automatically create a folder on the cluster called “Isilon_Support” which will be created under ifs/data/.

If you have a Mitrend account, you can download the script for Isilon here - Mitrend
