SyncIQ Resync-prep fails: SyncIQ is unable to connect to a resource on the target cluster.

Hi

My environment

  • Isilon X400 nodes
  • OneFS 7.1.0.5

Keep getting error messages (policy name: Failovertest target: localhost) SyncIQ is unable to connect to a resource on the target cluster. Use ping to determine if target is reachable. Verify that SyncIQ is licensed and enabled on the target cluster, and that the SyncIQ daemons are running. No live connections for over 15 minutes

When i do a Resync-prep. I successfully ran a "Allow writes" on the target cluster SyncIQ policy before and added some files.

"target = localhost" means your sync is looping back to the source cluster,

which can make sense for testing or for duplicating data. Then you emphasize "target"

cluster as if source and target were two distinct clusters. Can you sort this out first?

Look at the following KB 192503 "SyncIQ fails to create the mirror policy for failback"
