isilon default IPs
Hello i have an isilon with 1gb for management and 10gb for data.
When i make an isi status i can only see the management ip address.
And i just find that the synciq target cluster will by default send the IP adress of isi status.
It means today that my synciq use the 1gb network.
Do you know a way to force synciq to use the 10gb ?
I found the option force_interface but you have to modify a sysctl parameter and i can't find what to put there

Hi,
you can Create a dedicated IP Pool with your 10Gb Interfaces (if you want, i think any IP Pool with 10Gb will do it) for SyncIQ and then Configure your SyncIQ Policy to use only that Particular Subnet:IP_POOL. On the GUI it is Straight Forward, on the CLI i think you need --source-subnet and --source-pool.
But bear in mind, that if you Failover that Policy the First Time OneFS will create a Mirror Policy that don´t have the right Settings and you need to manipulate in Manually from the CLI

so at the end we found the issue, we had dns entry for each node, and those entries was on the management network.
i don't exactly what is the answer of the target cluster but at one point synciq did a resolve and by default use the management IP.
We just remove those dns entries and everything works fine now.
