1600 mhz ram speed on dell latitude e6420 i5

good day.

i just installed a 1600 mhz ddr3l ram on my latitude e6420. i found out that bios has clocked it down to 1333 mhz. is there a way or fix to this problem? inorder to run 1600 mhz frequency?

here are some bios details

BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. A23, 1/4/2016
SMBIOS Version 2.6
here is the ram that i installed

RAM speed depends on the CPU installed.  If this is an i5-2520m or other i5 from that generation, the memory controller aboard the CPU can't run RAM at 1600 MHz.

yes its 2520 m. updated with the new bios a23. but according to intel, sandybridge can handle 1600 mhz ram. hopefully dell engineers could fix this

Doesn't matter what the platform supports -- that CPU supports a max of 1333 MHz.
