5559 VGA
Guys,
I am planning to buy the Dell Inspiron 5559 from a UAE based ecommerce portal Souq.com.
Could you folks kindly let me know as to whether i will receive a dedicated VGA with this model or is a shared inbuilt card
Also i would like to know what is the capacity of the inbuilt card and the dedicated one

Hi QASIM.KHAN,
The link does not specify anything specific about the video card info.
However, this system model is either shipped with an Integrated video or a discrete video. The discrete video has 4GB DDR3l memory - see the specifications manual here - http://dell.to/2f6bAr7
The system does not have a VGA port, only has a HDMI port.

Also note that the "discrete" video isn't really discrete -- IF the system has an nVidia or AMD GPU, it's a hybrid system - where the AMD or nVidia GPU acts as a co-processor.
True, "discrete" graphics in new systems is limited to high-end workstation class (Precision) or high-end gaming (Alienware) systems. Everything else is a hybrid setup -- that goes not only for Dell, but for all the others out there.
You will find true, discrete GPUs ONLY in desktop systems and high-end systems these days.

Thanks for your prompt response.
My decision of purchasing inspiron 5559 is based on the information provided on Dell-IN webpage wherein "New Inspiron 15 5000" series filters in only 2 laptops with a 6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processor.

Therefore i am a bit confused as to whether the Inspiron 5559 hyperlink shared previously of the portal "Souq.com" is available with a AMD Radeon™ R5 M335 2GB DDR3 video card or is it an inbuilt HD520.
Looking forward to your assistance.

Are you based in India or in UAE?
Please be advised that there is no Dell official service center in UAE. If you are purchasing the system in UAE, only the base warranty will be applicable.

You really need to get the system details from the seller -- you have no guarantee where they might have obtained the system - could be India, Asia, the US, etc.
Also heed Dell_Rishi's note -- you will have no support in the UAE other than when you buy from an authorized reseller.
