7800go Drivers/Performance

Hello I'm using an Inspiron e1705 with a nVidia 7800go video card. The card acted fine for about 5 months then the frames per second started to decrease in all of my games. I searched for new drivers but the only drivers that exist for this graphics card are from January of 2006. Does anyone know of any forceware drivers or tweaked drivers that I can download to improve my FPS? Also the graphics card seems to be running hotter than it used to. I had it inspected and there is no dust build up or anything like that. As far as I can tell, the card is just spontaneously running hotter than when I got it a year ago. When my card started running hot, my battery died and I never have this laptop unplugged from the AC adapter except maybe 2 times a week for school. Does the graphics card heat and battery death have any connections to each other? Any help on this topic would be much appreciated. Thanks

Go to the Perfromance Driver section of the Nvidia 7800 Video Driver on the Dell Drivers & Download page. Download and install the 101.19 driver. It works well.

Unfortunatley, I am using XP, and that driver only works for Vista 32 bit.

Sorry, I have had some type of brain drain today and can no longer read English. Try the following link which is from the Inspiron E1705/9400 driver list for Vista for the GO 7800. It's the same driver Dell refers to for all GO boards using Vista. The M1710 listed everything but the 7800.

Installs easily and should work fine. I just switched to this from a mystery (and possibly later) version of the 101.19 which has disappeared from the net, and which was actually WHQL. I don't think this one is, but it installed without a glich, as did the mystry version.
