8 beeps
Hey peeps, I've been using my laptop (INSPIRON N5010) for almost 5 years now. A week ago when I tried turning it on, I heard 13 beeps at the beginning which then turned to 8 beeps and kept going. Screen was completely blank. I've already googled it a couple of times and people suggest hold the D/Fn key and press the power button but it doesn't work in my case. I've also tried connecting it to a different monitor, same problem. Any ideas whether it's LCD, VGA or motherboard problem and/or how to fix it? Thanks in advance

If you get no color screen when holding the D key, it's most likely the display panel has failed.

Thanks for the reply but is there a chance I can make sure that is the problem or I'll have to take it to Dell support somewhere?
