9560 BIOS update version 1.2.4

DELL Support Update is recommending a BIOS update to version 1.2.4. I am a bit wary of this based on a couple of posters who have bricked their system updating the BIOS. Has anyone here successfully updated to this BIOS version? I don't like to ignore DELL's recommendation but I'm worried it might cause problems.

When I do update the BIOS, I always do it in order. I never skip one.

Simply stated, why risk them? I only update the BIOS to correct a specific issue I may be facing.

Example, my Alienware Area51-R2 is still on BIOS A03. There have been four newer BIOS releases, but because the system does not have any issues, I did not install them.

Look at the 1.2.4 "Fixes & Enhancements". It states, "Improve Thunderbolt Adapter Boot feature". So if your NOT using a Thunderbolt Adapter, no need to install the 1.2.4.

Good thinking. If it becomes necessary in the future to update the BIOS to a later version, is there any issue with skipping versions?
