Adobe Premiere Crashes on Inspiron 15R SE 7520

I am having problems running Adobe Premiere CS6 on a Inspiron 15R SE 7520.  I get about 10 minutes into a project and get a message that the app has stopped working.  I am running Windows 8 on my laptop.

I have tried running the app with the AMD video processor and the Intel processor, configured through the catalyst control center.  Has anyone successfully run Adobe Premiere on a Inspiron 15R SE 7520?

Hi,

I see that there is an update from Adobe regarding this issue. I would advise you to update your Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to 6.0.3 Update and check for issue resolution.

Also, please consider reinstalling the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 application on the system.

Please let me know if this helps.

I have already updated Premiere to 6.0.3 and have my laptop on all the latest Dell drivers.  Reinstalling did not solve the problem when I tried that already.

Hi,

I would advise you to uninstall the ‘catalyst control center’ & ‘Intel HD 4000’ from ‘Programs and Features’ under the control panel and reinstall it in a sequence given below to check for issue resolution.

Download and install ‘Dell Intel HD Graphics 4000’ from our Dell support website using the link below.

Then install ‘AMD RADEON HD 7730M’ from our Dell support website using the link below and check for resolution.

Please let me know if this helps.

Try turning off the GPU acceleration - it may be the only way to get this program to run on this hardware, which isn't robust in the video area.
