Adobe Reader

Everytime I install Adobe Reader onto my notebook with Windows 7 it doesn't work.  Then I get this error message about a application not being found.  This is the message:  C:\Program Files (x86)\bin\getPlus_Helper_3004.dll.  I have searched to find a way to remove but have not had any success.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I also can't restore to a earlier point, have already tried.
