Alienware R2 17 inch Laptop - Horizontal Lines? Even when not in Windows 10
Hello,
Having some strange Horizontal lines (all across the screen ) in my Alienware 17 R2 laptop.
Anyone know what kind of hardware issue (or which part to replace)?
It does this even sometimes before I boot Windows 10.

LCD BIST (Built In Self Test)
If the LCD BIST passes, the fault is either the GPU cabling or the GPU itself. If the LCD BIST fails, the fault is the LCD.

The graphics card is likely dead sure you may want to contact dell so they can fix it I have no idea if this uses a MXM card if it did you could replace it but these cards are expensive.

Well I’m going to have my bro take a look not sure if it’s easily fixable but he has Software engineer job so he would know thanks elpro999
