Description

A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

main issue is a Kernel-Power error.

frequent freezes when "gaming"  = GPU overheating.

BCCode 117 this is a TDR Crash

The difference between 116 (VIDEO_TDR_ERROR)

and 117 (VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED), is:

0x116 = video driver is unable to recover; system BSOD
0x117 = indicates that the display driver failed to respond in a timely fashion.

However, video driver ultimately does recover; records a "Live Kernel Event"

Is there a workaround? Like bag of frozen peas under the laptop or something? lol

Or should I just leave it since it is being recorded?

This was one of the rare instances where it was recorded normally I'd have to restart the computer. because it's a full lock up audio and video.

The issue is overheating. Could be cat hair or dust bunnies in the fans and heatsink.

Alright, thanks I cleaned it awhile ago - the heatsink was black,  don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not. I will work to keep it cool. Thanks!

Kept a hardware monitor open and ran my usual game. GPU only reached 74*C before it stopped responding, and CPU only hit 85*C BIOS issue?

It's might also be a driver / software issue

Driver conflict - GPU, Audio etc

Corrupt Registry

Corrupt System Files - run System File Checker

Try different Video drivers

Does it happen in Safe Mode (F8)

System file check was ran, no violations were found. it's an integrated gpu so I'm not sure how I would run different video drivers. and I have nothing that runs offline to check it in safe mode.

Integrated?

Don't you run a separate (discrete) Nvidia chip?
