Audio not working

I've been having issues with audio both in the speakers and through headphones. I hear absolutely no sound in either my headphones or my speakers.  Headphones work fine with other devices.  Everything in computer is up to date, as far as I know.  Troubleshooting hasn't helped, and I not sure how to fix this. 

 I'm using the inspiron 7359, if that's relevant.  

Please help!

Hi cjpeters,

I would suggest you to update the BIOS and audio driver on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the BIOS from BIOS section and audio driver from audio section onto the system and install it.

Hello. No one in this thread mentioned anything about buying parts. You are welcome to recommend a replacement part and link to a company that sells it, but I would caution that posting links to a commercial company for no apparent reason could "appear to be intended as a means of solicitation", which is a violation of the forum's TOS.
