Just tried to add a 1GB Card and received an error stating I need to upgrade my BIOS. However the system recognized the add memory but windows xp failed to run.
Tom:
Did you ever get your issue resolved? I have the same issue, except, havn't attempted upgrade yet.
Please share any tips you may have.
Thanks,
Marshall D

Marshall,
Yes I did get the memory installed.
First I returned the first 1GB stick. I believe that it was made by Corsair.
I purchased a new card from Comp USA made by Centon.
I removed one 256MB card from slot A and installed the
1GB card and restarted the laptop, it came up with the same
BIOS message. I turned it off and rebooted again and everything
has been working fine ever since.
I hope this helps
