Barter on laptop?

Has anyone chatted to Dell support member in pop up box to get a cheaper deal and received their DELL product? I was offered $200 discount but could only pay with credit card. I pulled out as I was a bit suspicious because I could not pay with Paypal and he wanted my address as he couldn't put it through the DELL Australia shopping cart system.
