Blank screen on studio 1555 laptop - fast reply recquested
My studio 1555 laptop has blank screen after starting on. When I pressed D and did start up, it was on and once I had 6 beeps while the screen was blank. After this, I restarted, it was on and screen was appearing, but next time, the screen was blank while start up.
Pls. Help what to do now?

Six beeps means GPU failure - the mainboard needs to be replaced.

Request your answer: I saw in internet that parting the memory can solve this issue. Can I try this?

On a system this old (about eight years), you may be wiser to consider a replacement system. A replacement board will run $150-200, but labor will add another $100 -- and that's a lot to put into a system that's as old as this one is.

You can try, but the six beep error isn't memory - it's the GPU. Unplug, remove battery and hold the power button for 30 sec. Remove and reinstall memory modules - if that doesn't solve the issue, it's the GPU.
