Bluetooth connectivity

I am unable to play any audio from my Galaxy S6 to my laptop, via bluetooth, despite both saying they are paired. When I hit play on my phone it just comes over its speaker and not the laptops.

I assume this is a version incompatibility, how can I fix it?

The laptop shows its Bluetooth Intel Driver version 19.11.1639.649

I can't find the equivalent for my Phone but I found its spec online, 4.1, A2DP, LE, aptX.

Thanks

Being Paired does not mean they are connected.  Is there some button you need to push or hold in order to get the device to connect?

Can you select the Device Windows and select Connect from there?

I don't have a phone compatible with Win 10, but are you using the straight Bluetooth connection or the Bluetooth Network?

They go through the connecting process providing and accepting a passcode, but it seems to 'drop' back from connected to paired.

Direct bluetooth connection, Android phone to Win 10 laptop. Just as I do to my phone to my car.which works.

Hi pnb2017,

What wireless card does your system have? I know it's an Intel but do you have the model number?

Best regards,

I got my iPhone to Pair and Connect without seeing a pairing number on the phone I just told Windows the numbers were the same.

It has stayed connected but I see no way to play music through the computer.  You might check and see if you can add a library on the phone and play that way.  Or you may be able to use it as a streaming device.

An Audio system is set up to use phones and iPods, etc. to play music through it system.  So it may not work like that on the computer, but I am no expert.

Thanks for your input.

My phone and car connect and allow me to play any audio on my phone through the car system.

I would expect it to be the same with my laptop.

Perhaps a Dell specialist (Brad) will help?
