Boot Errors
Hi everyone,
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R, Windows 8.1
A few hours back I was forced to do a Full Clean of my drive and Install Windows 8.1.
I have no idea about what went wrong.
I had to change my Boot option to Legacy because My dell laptop cannot find the bootable USB when its in UEFI mode.
So the installation was successfully completed, but the time I rebooted my laptop and changed my Boot settings to UEFI. I got an error saying IPv6 PXE error.
and now I can't find Windows Boot Manager in my UEFI boot menu. The only options I found there was IPv4 and IPv6 boot.
When I changed my settings back to Legacy boot, I had to choose the option 'Hard Drive' from the Legacy boot menu to boot into Windows.
I don't want to keep booting into the boot menu and then choose Hard Drive.
Can someone please help? I want to boot into Windows directly. Please help, thank you :)

Hi,
Thank you for reaching us.
Appreciate all the steps you've tried to fix the issue.
I would advise you to check the BIOS version in the laptop, Please download the latest version of BIOS from www.dell.com/support in legacy mode.
Once that's updated, Change the boot mode to UEFI and try booting from DVD to check if that work, If it does, continue with reinstalation and finish it.
Ensure the secure boot is "OFF" during these steps. Let us know if this helps.
Thank you
