Brand New Dell Inspiron Laptop Does Not Power On

I just wanted to make sure that I need to send this computer back. Took out of the box...plugged in the ac adaptor and allowed it to charge for a few hours. Lights on the adaptor and the charging indicator at the front of the laptop lit up so it appeared to be charging. I attempted to turn on and nothing happened. I removed the battery and completed a 30 second reset that I found online but still nothing. I've made sure everything is plugged in correctly as well. This morning I plugged it in to give it one last shot and now the charging indicator on the laptop does not light up. Any ideas? Lost cause? I can't stand sending things back and now I'm leery of even having it replaced. Might have to get a refund and go with another company.

Please list Dell model number and version of windows: Example Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10

Please keep in mind, you have 30 days from invoice date to return it and order a new one. If this is a software issue, you also have 30 days of software support.
