Brand new Latitude E6410 gives BSOD after BIOS update to A05
Hi,
has anyone else had problems with BIOS update A05 for the E610 series? I received a machine two days ago and the DVD would lose contact. I updated the BIOS to version A05, but It didn't help, so I tried reinstalling Windows. That worked initially, but the DVD still kept dissappearing (it shows up if I hot swap it, disappears during boot). I then tried to downgrade the BIOS to A03, which either didn't work, or which doesn't have the HDD drivers neccesary since I now get "BOOTMGR is missing" when rebooting, and BSOD when trying to reinstall Windows (just about where writing to HDD starts).
Is there some sort of bootable disk image available somewhere that allows for re-flashing of the BIOS? I tried to set up a bootable pendrive, but got some sort of permission error.
