CPort & Cdock II with 1905FP is Ghosting

I called tech support they where no help at all. I have all the bios drivers & video drivers up to date but am still getting ghosting/imaging on the screen. The 18" & 17" monitors work fine. It is happening on the c-port & the C dock II. Any suggestions? thanks

Have you tried bypassing the dock and going direct to the monitor?
This should help isolate the faulty component.

Yes when I by pass the cport or c dock II or the d-Dock II it works fine. It appears that I am getting some sort of interfence from the docks and ports that I have. They work fine on the 17&18" flat panels. Very disturbing.

I have tried different cables, they are analog. This one doesn't have dvi. I even got a new/referbished 19" FP from dell & it does the same thing.

What about cables?  Are you able to test all with the same cable??
Are you using DVI or VGA?

Hmm.....it's a challenging problem then.
Are you running the19 at it's native resolution....probably 1280??
Which Dell 19 do you have....econo or ultrasharp?

It is the 1905fp. I think I am going to try to buy a pci video card and put it in the dock.

I just got one of those myself......haven't turned it on yet.
You are running it at 1280x1024 (SXGA) right?

Yes I am running the suggested resolution. It appears to be a problem with the docks & electrical interfance.

It sounds like what happens when not enough signal is getting to the monitor.  I'm in the AV business and have to use signal amps for long cable runs.  The ghosting is exactly what happens when the signal gets too weak.  I have the APR for my D800.  I'll try my 1905 with that tonight and see what happens............TD
