Can Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (7378) support NVMe?

Title says it all! I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7378 that comes with a 256GB Hynix SC308 SSD. I would like to save up and upgrade to a larger SSD, preferrably NVMe if the motherboard supports it. Does anyone know?

Hi absolutpleb,

Inspiron 7378 supports only M.2 SSD up-to 128GB/256GB/512GB.

If you have any other query, please click my DELL-username and send me a Private Message with the Dell Service Tag number and your email address.

No, to NVMe -- this system is SATA M.2 only.

DELL-Akshatha M, Are you sure Inspiron 7378 can't support M.2 SSDs over 512GB? That seems odd.

To answer the OPs question: This laptop does not support NVMe or PCIe M.2 SSDs, only SATA.

I also want to upgrade my SSD and I'd like to buy a 1TB drive, but after reading DELL-Akshatha M's answer, I want to be sure that this laptop can take 1TB M.2 ssd.
