Can Dell sell a lemon as a refurb?
The laptop I bought as a refurb (E7450) has crashed with a very hardware serious error. Apparently it had the same/similar error two years ago. It is still under warranty. We returned it for repair. Dell held onto it for two weeks and then returned it, replacing the power chord (!!!) and saying it had passed all tests. In fact it was in exactly the same state as when we returned it to Dell for repair (unbootable). Anyone else have a similar problem?

Hi fatbutfair,
Thanks for posting.
If the repairs were not successful, you can escalate your issue by filling out an Unresolved Issues Form. You will need your SR Number from Tech Support. http://dell.to/2xsko4H

Thanks, Robert P, for the suggestion. Your quick (real) help gives me faith in Dell. I asked Dell Technical support for the SR. Yesterday I created the escalation. I got a prompt reply, to completely the wrong problem. The reply ignored everything I had written down -- I went into some detail. I assume the agent looked up the SR (which I assume is incorrect btw) and didn't bother reading anything I had written. A careless mistake on top of what may be questionable selling practices!
