Can I use official Intel video driver on the XPS 13?
Hi,
Wondering if I can use the official Intel video driver release on my Intel HD 5500 gpu or its best to stick with official Dell driver releases?

Hi Moheban79,
As informed by our Dell Rockstar Dell drivers are customized, tested and then released for the Dell system.
However, you can use manufacturer drivers also but Dell does not recommend it.

You cannot use the Intel drivers because Dell customizes drivers for your specific model laptop. If ever there is an update for your model it will come from Dell--but that rarely happens.

Ok Thanks for info. Wish new drivers could be modded or grafted into dell's customizations..
