Can't get the wifi to work after new windows 8.1 pro install
I screwed up my prior OS (windows 8.1 home) so I had to format everything and install windows 8.1 pro. I got every other driver to work except for the wifi driver. The wifi driver doesn't work at all, which means I can't see or connect to wireless internet networks. I tried downloading and installing every driver from the dell website using my express code for windows 8.1, but I still can't get it to work. I've tried downloading from the intel website too. I know the card itself is fine because when I boot up to Linux I can use it. How can I get the wifi to work? When I go to device manager, there is a yellow exclamation mark besides "Network Controller." Inspiron 15R

There are multiple variants in wireless cards meaning its possible Dell listed the incorrect one with your service tag, provide the hardware IDs so I can determine what wireless card you have:

Here is the information from "Hardware Ids":
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_020C1028&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_020C1028
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_0280
According to Unknown Device Identifier, it is a "Atheros Communications AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter."
