Computer Crashes While Gaming (Sims 3)

I've been dealing with this issue for a few months now. I had played the Sim 3, custom content included, on my computer for a while (back in March, I would say). I would play for hours at a time and never had any problems. I could even play with high graphics settings. Then I quit playing for a while, got caught up in my school work, and then tried to play again but couldn't (in April). When my game first crashed, I simply uninstalled the game and didn't really ever think of it again. Then, last month (May) I decided I wanted to play The Sims 3 again, reinstalled, tried to run it, then my computer shutdown entirely. As it had a month ago.

I never got an error message, the game didn't freeze up first, or anything like that. My game was running, then my laptop shut off and did not restart. It still continues to do the same till this day.

I posted about my problem on EA (click here to see) and they've helped none. So, I decided to ask here instead.

:emotion-22:So far, to fix this problem I have:

  • Made sure the game is running on my NVIDIA graphics card (turned on Vertical Sync and Triple Buffering)

Updated my Graphics Card

Enabled all 4 of my CPU's to run (and when I play I try and run the Sims on 1 or 2 CPU's, idk if that's what I should be doing or not)

Set my computer to High Performance mode

Ran Advanced SystemCare

Downloaded HWMonitor

Downloaded RealTemp

Run the game in Windowed Mode

Reduced graphic settings in game

I'm at my wit's end. I've paid a good amount of money for these games and I should be able to play them. Especially when I was able to play it perfectly fine on my laptop just months ago.

So, someone PLEASE help me. I'm dying here.

If you need my DxDiag, you can check my thread on EA (link posted above).
