Cracking / fuzz in the sound (Studio Laptop 1735)
Hello,
I bought my laptop the first week of college this year. Since day 1 I've had a horrid cracking sound when playing any sort of audio, especially music.
The cracking / fuzz is non-stop. I've gone as far as buying new headphones and a new audio cord for my speakers without any difference. The internal speakers have the same effect. I've downloaded recent audio drivers for my laptop.
Anyone seen this issue before?
Thank you :emotion-2:

Hi Ryan,
I also have a Studio 1735 with the same issue. Unfortunately I don't have a fix to offer you but I have noticed that the crackling coincides with disk activity, i.e. when the disk drive light is flashing. I suppose this could be the way the system splits its activities (IRQ's and so on) but you'd think with a dual core processor it wouldn't be an issue. Maybe somebody else in the forum has more experience with this.
Anyway good luck, hope we get a fix soon.
Oh, I just found this in a quick forum search: Choppy/Skipping Audio Workarounds
Cheers,
Ed.
