Cyberlink PowerCinema Resident Program

I have a Dell 1720 Inspiron laptop, which is running on Windows Vista Ultimate.
I am getting the following message; “Cyberlink PowerCinema Resident Program has stopped working.”
I don’t find this program among the listed installed programs. I don’t know how to correct this problem.
The computer is running slow and I noticed other problems too, such as the cursor jumping during typing.

Please help, it is very annoying…

Thank you.

Re: Cyberlink PowerCinema Resident Program

Hi Magyar4949,

Welcome to the Community. I guyess you got a bundled software Cyberlink Power DVD together with your comptuer, this is to watch DVD's. You will need to do a software update to fix this issue, use the below link to do that. If you do not use the software, and want to stop that message from coming up, you can take it out of your startup. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Run, type in " msconfig" and click Ok. Click on the Startup Tab on top, and uncheck the box that says Cyberlink next to it, click Apply and then Ok, it will ask you to restart.

To fix the jumping cursor update your Touch pad drivers, below is the link.

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>

Hope this helps.

Thank you
